Noise, Noise, Noise

(Suzanne) I couldn’t take it any longer…it’s 6a so I jumped out of bed, threw a sweatshirt on and marched upstairs to the deck of the Seaside Grill. I could care less what I looked like – all I know is that I was not a happy camper and was determined to see who the culprit was. Someone was making a lot of noise again, right above our room.

When I got up there it was a worker, pulling chairs out of the stacks and dragging them to the tables. I tried opening the sliding glass doors but the doors were locked. He was on the phone and I couldn’t get his attention. So down I went to the the 3rd deck, midship, to let the front desk know that I wasn’t happy. When I got back up to the room, it was quiet again…except I’m wide awake now and can’t even go to the gym yet (it opens at 7a). So here I am blogging about it and what happens? At 6:38a, it starts all over again.

I guess there’s only so much that they can do. They’re obviously not dragging chairs anymore (I KNOW that sound). They’re probably washing the deck and unfortunately all of this must be done before the day begins. I guess they didn’t soundproof these rooms well enough because we’ve never had this problem before. Or maybe it’s just me. Maybe my ears have become more sensitive with age (Max says I’m going deaf though). Am I the only one in the fantail hearing this? I know I’m the only one in my room – everyone else is sleeping soundly. The good thing is that it’s almost 7a so I can go work out now.
