Ocean Liner's Restaurant

We went to the Ocean Liners Restaurant, Celebrity’s specialty restaurant, on Monday night. They have a prix fixe and a la carte menu where they pair a certain wine with each course or you can order your own bottle (if you choose to drink wine). I had bread (gluten free, of course), pumpkin soup topped with a light curry cream, escalope of foie gras with citrus sauce, granite of passion fruit with white rum (to clean my pallet), fillet of sole souffle stuffed with a lobster mousse, assorted fruits & cheeses, zabaglione flavored with Marsala (Italian dessert), and fresh strawberries in some kind of liqueur (they were nice enough to give me two). On top of that, they brought over a tiered plate of chocolates and candy. Everything was very good and excellently paired with the wines. And although I’m not a foie gras eater (I chose it because I didn’t want a salad), I ate the whole thing :-). It wasn’t too bad, but I was reminded of how the kids feel when I make them eat something they don’t want to eat.
